Tenda 8-Port Fast Ethernet 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch S108 (New)

Tenda 8-Port Fast Ethernet 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch (S108) – Talisa Technologies

Searching for the Tenda S108 8-port switch price in Kenya? Talisa Technologies (talisaphones.co.ke) stocks the genuine Tenda S108, a compact plug-and-play desktop switch that turns one network cable into eight wired connections. Whether you’re looking for a network switch in Kenya, an 8-port Ethernet splitter for your router, an 8-port switch for CCTV cameras, or an easy way to connect more PCs, printers, and TVs, the S108 is a simple, affordable solution for homes, offices, and dormitories.

Why Choose the Tenda S108?

The S108 gives you eight 10/100Mbps auto-negotiating RJ45 ports, so each port automatically picks the right speed (10 or 100Mbps) and duplex mode for the connected device. Auto MDI/MDIX means you don’t need crossover cables or a dedicated uplink port. Setup takes seconds: plug in the power adapter, connect your router to one port, and plug your devices into the rest. There’s nothing to configure, which suits first-time users and busy installers alike.

It uses store-and-forward switching with automatic MAC address learning and ageing, which keeps data moving smoothly with minimal packet loss. A switching capacity of 1.6Gbps means all eight ports can run at full 100Mbps speed at the same time without bottlenecks. Nine LEDs (one power, eight link/activity) show the status of every port at a glance, which makes troubleshooting easy.

It’s compact and tidy, at 124 x 59 x 23mm. It sits neatly on a desk or shelf, or can be wall-mounted to keep cables off the floor. Power use is low (under 2.15W), so it’s cheap to run 24/7, and built-in ESD protection adds safety against static discharge. It works with computers, printers, smart TVs, game consoles, NAS drives, and IP cameras. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Tenda S108 price in Kenya?
Pricing varies with market conditions and stock availability. Contact Talisa Technologies directly at talisaphones.co.ke for the current price and any ongoing offers.

Is the Tenda S108 a Gigabit switch?
No, the S108 supports 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet speeds. It’s great for browsing, streaming, printing, and CCTV, but if you need Gigabit speeds for fast file transfers or a Gigabit internet plan, ask us about our Gigabit switches.

What’s the difference between the S105 and the S108?
The S105 has 5 ports and the S108 has 8, so choose the S108 if you need more wired connections. Both offer the same 10/100Mbps speeds and plug-and-play setup.

Does it support PoE for powering IP cameras?
No, the S108 does not provide Power over Ethernet. Cameras connected to it need their own power supply, or you can use a PoE switch or injector.

Do I need to configure it?
No, it’s an unmanaged plug-and-play switch. Connect the power, plug in your cables, and it works.

Will it slow down my internet?
No, it won’t reduce your internet speed on plans up to 100Mbps. If your internet plan is faster than 100Mbps, a Gigabit switch is the better choice, since the S108 caps each port at 100Mbps.
